Deutsch: Der Wellenbalken verweist auf die Lage des Dorfes im Einzugsgebiet von Lauterbach, Selbach und Erchebach, die alle in der Gemarkung entspringen. Die Rodungshacke verdeutlicht die Einordnung Kunderts als Rodungsort, der in der Ausbauphase des 9. bis 11. Jahrhunderts entstand.
Die Farbe Blau ist eine der beiden nassauischen Farben und erinnert an die Zugehörigkeit zum Herzogtum Nassau 1806 bis 1866. In der Anschlussphase bis zum Ende des zweiten Weltkrieges war Kundert Bestandteil der preußischen Provinz Hessen-Nassau, weshalb sich Silber als eine der preußischen Farben im Wappen wiederfindet. Die beiden gekreuzten Ähren stehen für Landwirtschaft und der Hammer verweist auf die im Zeitraum 1896 bis 1926 betriebene Kupfererzgrube "Steinchen". |
