Deutsch: Der Ortsname war ursprünglich ein Flurname und leitet sich von den vielen Schnabeltieren wie Wildenten, Wasserhühnern oder Schnepfen ab, die bis heute in den nahe gelegenen Craismoosweihern nisten. Dargestellt wird dies durch den für den Ortsnamen redenden Storch in der hinteren Schildhälfte. Der halbe Adler weist auf die Markgrafen von Brandenburg-Bayreuth, die 1668 den Ort erwarben. Im Jahr 1672 bestätigte Markgraf Christian Ernst von Brandenburg-Bayreuth das Wappen, das sich seitdem nicht mehr geändert hat. Die Farben der hinteren Schildhälfte weisen auf die Herren von Künssberg, die von 1410 bis 1668 im Besitz der Burg und des Ortes waren. |
