Deutsch: Es handelt sich um das hl. Ehepaar Chrysanthus und Daria, Märtyrer, die Ortspatrone von Welcherath. In dieser Stellung zeigt das Wappen das "alte Gerichtssiegel" zu WELCHERAT von 1691. Aus Gründen der Tradition wure dieses schöne, 290 Jahre alte Siegel, zum Gemeindewappen erhoben.
