Description
Español: Bandera del municipio de Santa Helena del Opón (Santander).

ESTRELLAS GRANDES: Representa los cuatro corregimientos que hacen parte del Municipio; indicando además la fecha en que fué creado el Municipio. ESTRELLAS PEQUEÑAS: Indican las 28 veredas que hacen parte o integran nuestro Municipio. VERDE: La abundante riqueza forestal, la exuberante vegetacion de estas fertiles tierras y el verde paisaje de estos bellos campos de climas productivos y agradables. AZUL: Los ríos, quebradas y riachuelos que rodean , bañan y circulan por toda la región dando vida a estas ricas y prosperas tierras del Opón. ROJO: Como una lanza que hiere, significa la sangre que ha manchado la paz de muchos hogares y corazones a causa de la violencia que ha azotado esta región especial entre los años 1948.
