Description

Photo animée HD Le temple bouddhique de Swayambhunath (appelé également Temple des singes en raison des macaques rhésus qui y vivent) est un site classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

Il domine la ville de Katmandou et il est célèbre pour son grand stupa dont le bloc cubique qui soutient la flèche est orné du regard du Bouddha sur chacune de ses faces.

Le signe à l'emplacement du nez est le chiffre Un (Ek) en népali, qui est le symbole de l'unité de toute vie.

Entre les yeux, le troisième oeil représente la clairvoyance du Bouddha.
