English: Louis-Michel le Peletier, marquis de Saint-Fargeau (1760-1793), deputy at the "Convention Nationale", he voted in favor of the death of the king Louis XVI (361 pro, 360 contra). On 20 January 1793, the eve of the king's execution, Le Peletier was assassinated. He was therefore considered martyr, and became iconic for the Revolution.
