Deutsch: Maske eines kavalleristischen Helmes, Ende 1. Jahrhundert n. Chr.. Typologisch und zeitlich ähnliche Helme sind unter anderem aus Newstead (Schottland) und – noch deutlicher – aus Silistra (Bulgarien) bekannt. Diese Helme gelten als Vorläufer des späteren Alexander-Typs (Junkelmann 1996). Fundort: Nahe dem Kastell Matilo (Leiden), in der Fossa Corbulonis, Niederlande. |
