Why not new logo?[edit]

Is there any specific reason why CS6 icons are prefered over the most recent 2020 icons in this and other similar files (i.e. the ones used when tagging an SVG as made in Illustrator in Igens and such)? The newer ones are much simpler and will likely lead to a smaller filesize if the code is optimized enough, as well as maybe being more recognizable when scaled down, also because of their simplicity. We don't have to update the icons every time Adobe does, if this is the reason, but I think it might be beneficial. Rubýn (talk) 03:28, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Also despite the argument of which logo is simpler or takes less space, the old CS6 logo is simply not in official use anymore. Wikipedia also displays the current logo, and was updated 7 years ago. This is akin to using an old company logo far after they've updated it, and I can't imagine a good reason not to adhere to the official logo of a commercial product. I would like to hear @Sarang's opinion on why the logo update was reverted. Nelg (talk, contribs) 21:42, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Sarang Icon "is much too black for usage in the template"? Please explain. In what kind of instances is it too black? I would appreciate having a personal discussion, not answering obscurely by file description updates. Nelg (talk, contribs) 12:17, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
