The cab is identified as a Checker A-11 (not Marathon, that was the "civil" variant). It already shows the round side markers introduced for 1968, but still has the old-style front bumber. This bumper lasted until model year 1973, although, in this last year, it protruded in front to make room for the energy absorber dampers behind. In 1974, the cab got new, bulky bumbers. Not so safe... It shows parallel acting windshield wipers, which were introduced in 1978. Possibly a restoration that gave the car the look of a pre-safety bumper car.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 07:28, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
