All current versions (Feb. 2009) are not good enough

There are currently three SVG versions of the coa of Saarland. The first, originally uploaded by Chrkl, is close to the original, but of rather bad quality. The second, originally uploaded by Pierre Audité, is of good quality, but unfortunately it is also just plain wrong, this coa only vaguely resembles the coa of Saarland, the lions are totally different, as are the alérions. The third, just recently uploaded by Inductiveload, is closer to the original than the second, but it's not there yet. This means that none of those versions should actually be used: two are too far from the original, one is of too bad quality. As long as no appropriate SVG version exists, one should use the PNG version, which is both very close to the original and of good quality. --Rosenzweig δ 10:54, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

The one I provided was a mere auto-trace by Inkscape. I'll try to do a manual rendering that is precise and slim. But it might take a while. Once it's done I'll replace #1. --chris 論 12:20, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

I found good high-res sources for the lions and could complete it quickly. Replaced this file with my new rendering, completely manual after several original raster graphics. --chris 論 13:27, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Yes, please, that would be great. The lion of Saarbrücken Nassau is a bit more slim than the Palatinate one, as I have taken him from the larger File:Wappen Stadtverband Saarbruecken.png. The latter on the other hand should be quite close to the original, since I used the original Saarland CoA to redraw it. --chris 論 16:25, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
