Forts pointing to the north[edit]

Can someone explain to me why the forts point to the north. It is as though they are built to expect an enemy from the north while the attack took place in the south. Wereldburger758 (talk) 13:35, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to create the map according to the original but it's a bit blurry. Just give me detailed and exact instructions on what to change. I have zero knowledge of the subject so it's up to you who has the knowledge to tell me how it should be. --Goran tek-en (talk) 14:38, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I figured it out. This map gives the clue: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Italian_offensive,_Bourg_Saint-Maurice.png. The diamonds in that map signify permanent forts (so plural) according to the legenda. That means that the forts you have drawn as one single fort are in reality series of smaller forts or much smaller fortified constructions. These smaller forts would have been able to support each other with covering fire. Whether or not to use diamonds to signify the forts, is up to you. Thanks for the information, it makes a big difference when you talk about them as separate but still able to support each other, this is new information to me. I have now changed in both the maps I created, hope this is better, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 15:35, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
