This painting uploaded with an invalid source [1] as a "Portrait said to be Auguste of Baden-Baden future Duchess of Orléans by an unknown artist" is most likely the portrait of an unknown woman since it bears no resemblance to that princess, and mainly because it was auctioned on multiple occasions ([2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]) as "Bildnis einer Dame, die ihren Papagei mit einem Pfirsich füttert" (Portrait of a lady with a parrot and peaches), in addition no valid source is found to support such assumption.
