Use this map with care. It has several problems:
- Line to El Jadida is missing completely
- Nador is not the end point of the line to Beni Enzar...
- The shortcut from Tanger to Rabat is completed by now
- The line to Casa airport branches from the main line to Marrakech, and does not go there directly from Casablanca
- Rabat should be at the shore
- Kenitra should actually be Sidi Kacem...
- I'm not sure if the "high speed" parts are really correct; at least the extension to Agadir is missing.

- Thanks, I'll try and improve the map. Do you happen to have references for the Tanger-Rabat shortcut and the extension to Agadir? Classical geographer (talk) 08:28, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
- For the shortcut : http://www.oncf.ma/Fr/Actualites.aspx?id=170&ep=2&bHome=0 which says that it has been released in june 2010.
- Kenitra is close to the shore (9 km from the center to the beach of Mehdia) so it can't be the dot you've named.
- I'm pretty sure the high speed rail is not going through Sidi Kacem but further north (and should be close to the coast regarding the prospects signed in 2011).
- For Beni Enzar instead of Nador : http://www.oncf.ma/Fr/index.aspx?md=199&rb=396
- For Tanger there is a problem : too much in the East (it should be in the west part of the first curve from the West). And due to that your missing a line from Tanger to Tanger Med (the new harbour further east). Opened since 2010 if I m not mistaken.
- Marrakech is too much in the mountain while it should be really close to the Tensift river (8 km north of Marrakech).
- The line from Casa to Settat (and then Marrakech) is really close to Airport ( and there is a small derivation from that line to the Terminal of the airport).
- That should complete the info provided by Kabelleger.
- But right now this map is really not a map to be used... Loreleil (talk) 21:42, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, that's very detailed! Between the first comment and yours, I had already updated the map, as you can see; it now includes the airport link as a spur off the main railway, Kenitra/Sidi Kacem has been corrected, and the small extension past Nador is included. Note that this map is not to be used for actually driving around; it should give an impression of the network. Therefore the Tanger harbour stop is a bit too much detail for a map like this. The location of Marrakech however is an important point, and I'll corect it with the next update. Thanks again! Classical geographer (talk) 10:57, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- Got it :) the strange behaviour of commons : it was missing a "regenerate" of the reduce pictures because it was still displaying the former map and I didn't see your update (neither on commons, neither on the place where I found first this map). I called the purge action and it "refreshed" the generated pictures. With your updated version we got a really better map. But I ll insist on the Tanger/Tanger med rails because it's currently one of the development study of the north-east part of maroc transportation (project in study and nearly approved : linking Tanger to Tetouan using partly the rails from tanger to tanger med). Agadir
[edit]I reverted to the original version because there is no line between Marrakech and Agadir. It's not even planned for any foreseeable future. --Tachfin (talk) 16:27, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- Self-reverted since there are more errors in the original --Tachfin (talk) 16:28, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- It's still listed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_high-speed_rail_by_country#Morocco. Note that there is no current railway to Agadir on the map, just a blue line indicating one is planned. Classical geographer (talk) 09:26, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
