She is widely regarded as one of the most talented and respected actresses of the late 20th–early 21st centuries. Streep is a three-time Academy Award winner and the most-nominated Academy Award actor with 20 nominations, including 16 nominations for lead roles and 4 for supporting roles. She also holds the record for receiving 30 Golden Globe Award nominations with 8 wins (counts as of January 2017).
