Siegmund Freudenberg (1828-1908) was a merchant in Germany. He migrated from Germany to the United States on January 3, 1856. He worked as a clerk at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Manhattan, New York City and later worked and lived in Philadelphia. Before his death he moved back to Manhattan. He was Jewish and was buried in a Jewish cemetery. (b. 1828; Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany - March 23, 1908; Harlem, Manhattan, New York City, New York County, New York, USA) The Freudenberg family papers are archived in the Jewish Museum Berlin.
