Move
[edit]- Support as nominator. Evrik (talk) 12:51, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose - Evrik requests that 东汉 be moved to Eastern Han, and his reason is: "No Chinese language charcters are used in this gallery. Language primarily associated with this gallery is English. Name chnage per Commons:Galleries" (see this). I oppose the move. According to Commons:Galleries, "galleries should be named in language most associated with the subject". And Commons:Language policy says that gallery names "should generally be in the local language". It's clear that "language most associated with the subject" means the local language of the subject. It has nothing to do with the language used in the text of the gallery. Even if the language used in the text of gallery 东汉 is English, the language most associated with this gallery is Chinese. So 东汉, not Eastern Han, should be the name of the gallery. Commons:Galleries also says that "Commons is multilingual" and "[y]ou may use any language(s) you like" for gallery's description. This indicates that the language used in gallery's text may not be the same as the language used for the gallery's name.--Neo-Jay (talk) 03:47, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
