The anatomical pictures are not of a crucian carp. The abdominal cavity is covered with a black membrane which is typical for goldfish (C. auratus) or wild goldfish (C. gibelio). Also the body color is typical of C. gibelio (compare to the golden/brown color of the first two pictures. The number of scales falls in betweeen the range for the two species. The drawing is that of a Korean Carassis carassius and is not typical of the Western European Crucian carpViridiflavus 14:24, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
