English: A tampon is a plug of cotton or other absorbent material inserted into a body cavity or wound to absorb fluid. Currently the images below are all of vaginal tampons, a particular type of tampon (usually disposable) that a woman inserts into her vagina during her menstrual period to absorb the flow of blood.
