This template provides a wrapper around Creator templates which can also be used to describe the role the creator played in creating this media (e.g. writer, painter, illustrator, publisher, etc.)

Usage

This template should be used wherever Creator templates are used, such as in the “author” field of {{Information}}.

Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status
role	Role of the creator in creating the media file. One of: creator, publisher, photographer, artist, illustrator, author, writer, painter, engraver, lithographer, editor.		creator	required
creator	The name of the creator. If a Creator template exists for that name, this template will insert that template here. Otherwise, it will provide a link allowing a creator template to be easily created.		empty	required
note	A short note to be added after the role. This can be used to add additional information, such as if this role is disputed.		empty	optional
years	The years in which this creator was active. This makes it easy to disambiguate between creators with the same name. Note that this field will be completely ignored if a creator is provided.		empty	optional
