Fills a 'Unidentified XXX' category with the category purpose. It also asks expert readers to help wikipedia identify the content of the category.

Template parameters

Parameter Description Default Status
subject A common description of all the content of the category.
  • In biology, it should be the name of a taxon (the same taxon as in the unidentified category name).
    The taxon should be the most precise possible. For example for a bird picture use "bird", but if the bird looks like a Passerine, it should be Passeriformes.
  • In other cases, it can be a type of media, like "images" or "sounds".
images optional
category The name of the category in which subcategories the media should be moved once more precisely identified empty optional
