The University Motor Inn in Philadelphia was built in 1960, directly on the west bank of the Schuylkill River just downstream from the University Avenue Bridge. The three-story mid-century modern inn was intended mainly for the families of University of Pennsylvania students, as well as other university visitors. The building was vacant since 2014 and eventually demolished in the winter of 2022–23 after being seized through eminent domain in 2019.
