About Castelini
Castelini is a Romanian brand founded in 2007 by Eugen Stefan Crisan, local miniaturist and painter. Almost all his works are representing owls with big eyes.
It all started almost 10 years ago, after i came back from UK where Eugen Crisan felt in love with the Lilliput Lane cottages. The jurney that he started was nothing but a pain and failure. Imagine how it would be to make a cake without knowing what ingredients to use... Well, just look at my first creation in the corner and you will pretty much say that a 3 years old child could do it better. I started to spend a fortune on expensive materials, tools, info. over youtube, to discover that nobody in this field will tell you the truth and that no matter how many books you will read, you will end up nowhere.
But then again, you can do some basic things with ordinary materials and some skills, unfortunately i do seek perfection which i will never achieve but at least i will always be a step closer! So, after spending and spending and spending, trying and trying and trying, slowly i evolved. I also discovered that talent is needed in a ration of 60%, the rest, to my surprize is practice and when i say practive, well a whole lot of it! On the next page you will see the clear evolution of my technique and also the discovering of new and better materials.
