My name is David and I live in Columbia Maryland. Im an amateur with a particular interest in landscape/city scape photogaphy. My interest in photography started when I was in the Coast Guard and was traveling and wanted to capture what I saw. I started with a Minolta Automatic SLR and after it was stolen, I decided to replace it with a manual Pentax MX with a 28-85 Kiron lens. I liked the features of the camera that lent it to creative control. It instilled in me the basic relationships between shutter, aperature, and depth of field. I still use that wonderful camera occasionally, but now days I'm shooting digital with a Panasonic DMC-FZ50. It also has great optics and a good measure of creative control. And of course instant gratification.
