Hi, I'm Simon Patterson. I'm a freelance MotoGP journalist who's been working in the world championship since 2015.

I'm originally a forensic science graduate from Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, and worked extensively as a freelance sports photographer and photojournalist before moving (almost) full time into writing.

I travel extensively with my job, and my hobbies away from motorcycle racing include cycling, rugby and military history.
