Dr Julie Dee Bell wrote her PhD at The University of Hong Kong. It was 1210 pagers including the appendix and the research won the 17th World Congress. She moved to London, England where she worked offshore UK, North Sea in the Don Field; North Africa, Tunisia in the Louisa Field; and West Africa, Ghana in the Jubilee Field also Ivory Coast in the Foxtrot Field. After working offshore, Dr Bell acquired a position at London South Bank University as Senior Lecturer in a Petroleum Geoscience programme. She wrote a research programme on fabric and flow in unconsolidated reservoirs. She joined AAPG and wrote a number of articles. Later moved to Canada after completion of research and consulted for companies such as Suncor for in-situ oil sand development.
