Esther Neema begun her career as a journalist, actress and writer. Primarily she was focusing on Historical, Cultural and Travel documentaries. She began her writing career in 2006 working at Hotsun Films in Kibera, after which she pursued her University Degree in Public relations at Daystar University and later a masters in Development communication at the University of Nairobi. Her Entry in to Acting was in her Teenage years while studying at Loretto convent ValleyRoad. Here she gained recognition for her Essay Writing and poetry. She received recognition for her writing by: Certificate for Commonwealth Essay Competition Writers around the World for the story: Is there ever an answer for an African girl born in the slums. and Young Writers Creativity Award selected for publication

During the Radio Africa Talent Search, she was selected seven among hundreds of contestants. This was her professional Debut in mainstream Media. Prior to this she had founded a woman's talk show, Es and Essy, where she cohosted with her Co-host, Esther Wekesa. Shortly after she made her debut on TV, hosting TV shows.

Her first TV debut was on TV with Expressions television talk show, on the national Broadcasting house, KBC, Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation. She did the show for two years, before moving to the Coast of Kenya as a producer in 2015. Here she interviewed the Likes of Catherine Kasavuli, Regina Re, Gertrude Mungai, and many prominent women. She also highlighted the successes as well as well as the challenges of women, interviewing many women and amplifying the voices of women.

At the Coast, she worked with Pwani TV and created television programs for the station as a producer before moving back to Nairobi, where she pursued her entrepreneurial ambitions, before working again as a public relations personnel.

In 2016 she was a TV journalist with Kenya Engineer where she covers the stories of Engineers.

As an actress, She has been featured and starred in regional movies on the Maisha Magic movie series in two films. The first, in 2013 FIFTH AVENUE, and the most recent INHERITED, focuses on wife inheritance traditions. She began her acting at The Kenya National Theater doing set books and later went to phoenix players where she acted in various plays for over two years. Some of the plays include Local Murder, House of Bernada Alba, among others.

At 26 years old is when she started her first Business; Belle enterprise Themed Events, aimed at themed parties and get-togethers.


Recently, she has been widely known for her efforts in entrepreneurship. She started the Dream Tribe Network Africa, a community for entrepreneurs. The network has more than 760 members. She was named Top 35 under 35 because of this work, and also her contribution to the TEDxKibera work, organizing talks in the community. The Dream Tribe Network Africa was recognized as a Top innovation of the coast province and an innovation to look out for. Selected 10 among 70 other businesses from the coastal region.

This was followed with her selection to the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), in the year 2018, which saw her scale up her efforts of the Empire Content Network that she has started to support content creation among creatives. She pitched to the Governor's start-up challenge, courtesy of YEPI, where her initiative Dream Tribe, then called the network was selected as a Top innovative project that has high impact.

In the last few years, she has also been nominated as a Top Women in Business and Founder of the Year. She continues to work in this space supporting entrepreneurs and became a beneficiary of the UN, UNITAR project that trained women in social entrepreneurship. She has gone ahead to train as a facilitator at the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, a USAID funded program.

She also still continues to write and perform, recently she was a guest editor at the New Africa Magazine, contributing to the story of the African Dream. She also was chosen for the Amplify fellowship for creativity around the continent. Her work was also published on Adelaide magazine and she has also made contributions to the Common Wealth Business Women Network Magazine.

She also recently made an appearance at the KINA TV series and continues to pursue diverse roles in the industry.
