Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in Turkey
Wiki Loves Monuments is an international photo competition in which the contestants around the world photograph the historic monuments and upload them to Wikimedia Commons to be used in Wikipedia and its sister projects. It is organized by the local organisations of the Wikimedia Movement every year in September, approximately in 40 countries.

This year for the first time in Turkey, Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey (WMTR) is organizing the Wiki Loves Monuments competition. On the occasion of this competition, anyone (photographers, amateurs, Wikimedians, non-Wikimedians) is invited to once again discover the historical, cultural and scientific importance of their region by photographing the monuments and sharing the images with the whole world.
