Drumfados musical project was iniciated in 1996 by two medical studants of Faculdade de Medicina do Porto [2](Feliciano Guimarães & José Neves), enjoyers of the Portuguese Guitar[[3]], "Fado de Coimbra"[[4]] and electronic music. They tried to make a combination of classical struture of "Fado de Coimbra" with the new musical tendencies. The harmonic and melodic struture was preserved. Rhythm became more sincopated, not allowing musical suspensions. Neverless still existed plenty of space to singer's expressivity.
Arrangement was made with computer sequencing and synthesis.
They had participation of some singers from Grupo de Fados de Medicina do Porto [5].
