The name Philadelphia is a Greek word that means brotherly love. The word is mentioned five times in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. Historically, Eumenes II named the city for the love of his brother, who would be his successor, Attalus II (159–138 BC), whose loyalty earned him the nickname, "Philadelphia", literally meaning "one who loves his brother". The name symbolizes selfless love and compassion for one another, teamwork, interdependence, mutual support, and unity. We as a newly established Ethiopian CSO chose this name to live up to its very meaning and ideal.

Vision: To see Ethiopia lead a stable, peaceful and fruitful life.

Mission: Improve the lives of target communities through economic empowerment, peace-building, and better education.
