"There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true." Søren Aabye Kierkegaard (1813-1855)

About me

My name is Tomas (Tom-as) WhiteAntelope. As you can tell by my last name, I am Native American and am an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe (paternal side) and am the Lummi Nation (maternal side). I grew up on the Lummi Reservation in Washington. I went to Sherman Indian High School and received a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2014.

Since graduating from Berkeley, my work experiences have included working at UC Berkeley's Campus Shared Services where I worked on the Visa, Loan, and HR Records Team. Thereafter I worked for SFUSD's American Indian Education Program where I was hired as the Native American Outreach Coordinator working directly with Native American students in San Francisco. I then returned to UC Berkeley in my most recent position as the Administrative Assistant for the Haas Institute for a Fair & Inclusive Society, an equity research unit in UC Berkeley’s Division of Equity and Inclusion.

Some fun facts about me: I love meeting new people and listening to new ideas. I can never get enough of any genre of music. I love kale and kombucha. I’m also into nature, traveling and museums and can’t wait to visit the other “Meow Wolf” locations.

My work

I work with the Talent and Culture Department, as a People Operations Associate. I handle US Onboarding/offboarding, respond to HR@ (zendesk tickets), manage the Wikivesary program, and everything in between an Employee life cycle consists of. Its a really fun role and my team works globally So I am up in the AM (pacific) time for meetings most days and settling in on tasks in the afternoon (pacific). Feel free to reach out.
