Hello! I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the College of Media. I am also a member of [FemTechNet femtechnet.org]. Before UIUC, I taught in the School of Media Studies at The New School and in the Department of Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University (Spring 2015). I use Wikipedia in the classroom and am co-chair of the FemTechNet Wikipedia Working Group. I am just getting to know about uploading images to Wikimedia Commons. Questions I have with this project currently involve how to upload images from libraries and archives, as I continue to work on Wikipedia editing at UIUC.

As I get to know Central Illinois, I also hope to contribute my own images from the prairie.

Research interests include: new media art, Chicana/o media, media histories, historic monuments related to film & television exhibition and production.
