Vincent Antoine Vos was born in 1975 in the Netherlands where he studied biology. He specialized in tropical ecology doing his master's degree in the Forest Management Program in Riberalta, Bolivia. He has worked with a diversity of public and private institutions expanding his research area into tropical ecology, climate change, community forest management, rural livelihoods and biodiversity conservation. Over time, he has specialized in research and systematization on sustainable development options for the Bolivian Amazon, including the use of Non-Timber Forest Products such as Brazil nuts, cocoa and açaí, agroforestry and ecotourism. While his participation in international ecological studies has earned him a place among Bolivia's top five most cited scientists, Vincent has also produced a large number of more applied publications, targeting the population of the Bolivian Amazon itself. With the same desire to contribute to regional development, it also participates in various commissions and inter-institutional platforms on issues related to rural development, including the promotion of productive complexes of Amazonian fruits, disaster risk management, the promotion of ecotourism and protection actions. of biodiversity. He's also a naturalist who considers much of his free time documenting (photographing, identifying and registrating) the biodiversity of the Bolivian Amazon.
