Please don't remove categories[edit]
As per this edit please don't remove categories, especially without being logged in: is it considered vandalism and could lead to a block of your IP number. Dates are not "unlikely" category on Commons. I you don't know about it, please ask first. Thank you. --G.dallorto 12:36, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- It is the the fact of removing a category without proper reason which is considered vandalism, per se. Quite as I wrote above. "Especially" (as I wrote above, again) if you are not logged, since most vandals (but not all of them) behave this way.
- Vandalism "could lead" (which is quite what I wrote) to your IP being blocked, this is not a vain threat, it is a commong practice over here, otherwise everyone could do whatever he wants. Vandalising included.
- As for dates, well, most people in the world deal with them as "nn month", except anglo-saxons, so I find it is not "poor handling", it just conforming to the majority's customs. This an international encyclopedia, and although it is written in English as a default choice, it is in no way an American enciclopedia. So, mine and yours are but points of view, but they are both just point of views. Best wishes. --G.dallorto 19:58, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok for the clarification, there is no reason to dispute further. After all we are both owrking at the same project. Best wishes. --G.dallorto 21:01, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
