As Wikipedia says: "Curvature: few penises are completely straight, with curves commonly seen in all directions (up, down, left, right). Sometimes the curve is very prominent but it rarely inhibits sexual intercourse. Sam how do you shave your scrotum so clean? What do you use, shaver type, creams and stuff??

What's the size of your testicles? Is one larger than the other? If so is that normal? My left one is smaller than my right. Should I be worried?

Come on, please be serious. I don't know the exact size of my testes but I'm pretty confident they are within the average range, just read here. It's normal that they differ slightly in size, one hanging lower than the other, usually no reason to worry at all. Your penis images

Amen, brother. Your images are head-and-shoulders above most of the other, similar images that appear on various Wikipedia pages. Very nice photographic work, and you are lucky to have an aesthetically pleasing, very representative set of genitals and pubic hair. I for one am pleased that your images have been chosen to represent the external genitalia of the male half of the human race in Wikipedia articles that are viewed by millions worldwide. Thank you for your excellent contributions.

Thanks for the feedback. Aesthetics are a question of personal taste and I would consider my genitalia as representative or normal as anyone else's, just body parts. Male and female genitals and pubic hair usually aren't ugly or "dirty" at all (if anything it's only the thoughts of the viewers...) - what I can't stand is simply that most of the pictures in the commons are rather scaring. I am not sure myself about my pictures HQ_SAM_ST.JPG and HQ_SAM_FS.JPG ... Personally I would like to ask the specified sizes, length and width. Is this an average size?

Thanks for the friendly feedback. To be honest, I would never have had the courage to upload these pictures 5 or 10 years ago and I would still feel a little embarrassed if anonymity weren’t maintained.

Well, I explained the reasons for uploading these pictures on the user page, and hopefully some other non-exhibitionistic men (of different age, skin tone…) who are able to make acceptable pictures will upload them too for the same reasons.

• About your question: I indicated in the description of most pictures “genitalia of a Southern-European male, 30 years, average penis size (flaccid 9,5 cm/3,7", erect 16,3 cm/6,4", measured upside)”. These values were referred only to the penis length, not to its width, the second value being simply the conversion of centimeters into inches – I’m sorry for having created misunderstandings. I have updated the information now into this version:

Penis length: flaccid approx. 9.5 cm = 3.7 in, erect approx. 16.3 cm = 6.4 in, measured upside

Penis width: flaccid approx. 3 cm = 1.2 in , erect approx. 3.8 cm = 1.5 in

Penis circumference: flaccid approx. 9.5 cm = 3.7 in, erect approx. 12.3 cm = 4.8 in

• “Is this an average size?” can be understood in two ways, so I will give two answers:

1. With the description “average penis size” I wanted to express that the size is average in Southern Europe (not in other world regions). To be true the length of mine is probably slightly above the real average value or median value, compared with data in Wikipedia, but it is well within “normality” (circumference corresponds nearly exactly to the average value). I have changed the information now to “genitalia of a Southern-European male, 30 years” and hope this is clearer – readers may search average values by themselves.

2. As measurement of size isn’t that easy and exact, I calculated the values for my penis the following way:

• flaccid penis: average length and width/circumference of a few measurements with the penis held horizontally (variations of length and circumference between 9 and 10 cm, hanging down it usually is or seems somewhat longer; width was calculated);
• erect penis: smallest length of a few measurements (variations up to 16.7 cm), average circumference of a few measurements on different points of the shaft (variations between 12 and 12.5 cm), width is a calculation.

As mentioned above my penis size has never been an issue to me, but measuring for Wikipedia was somehow interesting - it is anything but "exact".

question about the foreskin

Hi, funny question... it differs widely between men. In my case the foreskin retracts automatically to the position you see in the central picture, even when fully erect this doesn't change much. After retracting it more manually it slides back automatically to the position you see in the lower picture, and when flaccid it goes back automatically to the position in the upper picture. 123GLGL (talk) 19:34, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Hair distribution

Hi, would you mind uploading a photo of your buttocks (from the back and from the side) and thighs or more of your legs for showimg your hair distribution. Nope. Frankly said, I was inclined to deny the last request already. I don't believe that any further uploads might be useful and, besides, anyone else is free to do so. As I have written on my user page I would be glad to see better pictures than mine here in the Wikimedia commons and wouldn't mind when they are deleted sooner or later.

Just as an information for you: I am 175 cm tall and my weight is around 66 kg, but I think it is not relevant in the description of the pictures - there is no correlation with the size of the "private parts".123GLGL (talk)

Hmmm... To be honest, I doubt on the educational purpose. A few questions

Just wondering about averages and my normality as it relates to your genitalia . I’m only 5.8 inches long erect , and I know you are 6.4 am I still average ? Also my foreskin doesn’t retract automatically when erect , but is fully retractable otherwise . why could this be ? , have you ever had to deal with penile odour issues ? Even with good hygiene mine can have a distinct smell . And how much is a normal amount of semen to discharge during an ejaculation? Hi there, you can find lots of information on all of this here in wikipedia, but a few hints: - 5.8 inches erect is well above average, so feel lucky - It's totally normal when foreskin doesn't retract "automatically", in some cases not at all (still covering the glans of an erect penis completely) so don't worry - in my case it retracts partially ... This just depends upon amount of "superfluous" foreskin, others have their glans semi-exposed when flaccid - smell: when you can exclude a medical problem it could be caused by too much hygiene which damages normal bacterial balance, try to use only water and only once a day shower gel, no soap - semen amount: varies widely from one man to another and from one ejaculation to another for a number of reasons. you find more information on the dedicated wikipedia pages.
