378 categorisation[edit]
Hi. Why are you changing the categorisation of Class 378 images? Having them in 378s of London Overground, with number for sorting purposes, is a standard format. While it's not universal yet, there are many people working on it. -mattbuck (Talk) 11:47, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- 378s are only used by LO so the subcategory is redundant! 194.80.106.134 11:50, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- True in general, but there is a bigger picture - 378s will not always be LU (or at least it's unlikely - and besides, they weren't LO before delivery, and we may get photos of that). LU is not just 378s. Moreover, this is part of a larger categorisation structure, and the 378s of LO category fits within that structure. While it does leave an annoyingly empty category, to me that seems better than having this class strangely left out of the larger structure. It is all about usability, and the way it was before, with some cats having hundreds of unsorted images, was not very usable. Yes it means that the few classes which have only had a single operator so far get a bit shortchanged, but on the other hand you have things like 313s whivh are divvied up into classes of BR, NSE, WAGN, FCC, LO, Silverlink and Southern. -mattbuck (Talk) 12:05, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
