Fyi, I reverted this change in the list of participating countries in WLM 2024. Freedom's Falcon did not respond to the email I send them before, but please let me know if there is anything I can do to support the competition in your country. Since you mention in the list of participating countries, as well as the landing page, that the dates for the competition are 1-30 September, that is what the international team is working with. Hello Ciell, as I help the Levant countries to participate in WLM 2024, I can confirm that this edit is totally wrong. I'm in direct contact with Freedom's Falcon (who organizes WLM 2024 from Wikimedians of the Levant). In conclusion (based on consensus), Wiki Palestine (via Batoul84) is organizing WLM 2024 in Palestine in cooperation with Wikimedians of the Levant user group, between 1-30 September 2024, which will start tomorrow. Hi Freedom's Falcon, علاء, Sandra Hanbo & Mervat, There are two issues regarding the landing pages of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria:

• The main issue with the landing pages is a missing upload button. I see the link to upload has been added, but it is a bit hidden and for many participants it will not be clear how to start uploading. Can you/your team add a more clearer upload link?
• Also I think the pages should be translated to Arabic as that is the main language spoken in the countries.

Any chance you can get the Arabic version of the landing pages up today? People in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan mainly speak Arabic, right? We encourage to take the local approach in Wiki Loves Monuments, because the competition is aimed to be easy to join and new comer friendly. Morocco for instance has their landing page in English, French, Arabic and Berber, because those are the languages the people from the country speak. Ciell (talk) 17:13, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
