Please place here images and subcategories of whole buildings, and images of substantial portions of buildings. As far as possible, use an appropriate subcategory of "Buildings in Singapore" rather than the main category itself. When creating a subcategory named after a building:
- DEFAULTSORT. If the building name begins with The, add a {{DEFAULTSORT}} tag to the subcategory omitting the word in the sort key. For example, if the building is called "The Atrium@Orchard", the tag should be: "{{DEFAULTSORT:Atrium@Orchard}}".
- Location. If the location of the building is known, add either the name of the road or street that the building is on (see "Category:Roads in Singapore" or "Category:Streets in Singapore") or a subcategory of "Category:Places in Singapore" to denote its location. (It is not necessary to give both, as the road or street should already be a subcategory of the place. To find out a building's address, visit Street Map @ Singapore.)
- Year of completion. If the year of completion of the building is known, add a subcategory of "Category:Buildings in Singapore by year of completion".
- Skyscrapers. If the building is a skyscraper and its height is known, add a subcategory of "Category:Skyscrapers in Singapore by height".
- Interwikis. If there is an article about the building on another project, add an interWikimedia link, like this: "[[en:Bank of China Building, Singapore]]".
In addition to a copyright tag such as {{PD-self}}, consider adding {{FoP-Singapore}} to images of buildings to indicate that they are in the public domain.
- If images clearly show architectural features of buildings, such as arches, bridges, doors, roofs, walls and windows, in addition to placing them in one of the subcategories of "Category:Buildings in Singapore", also put them in an appropriate subcategory of "Category:Architecture of Singapore".
- Place images and subcategories of constituencies, neighbourhoods or regions of Singapore in an appropriate subcategory of "Category:Places in Singapore".
