- Oppose Nothing personal about this candidate, but I vote no pending addressing the issues with the selection process raised here. --South Philly 16:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

- Agreed. I think South Philly really ought to consider another approach to making his or her point. ++Lar: t/c 22:51, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

- Support User meets the requirements, and is already a trusted admin at another project. Cary Bass demandez 19:36, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- Which project? I'd be inclined to support based on Cary's say so but would like to know if that's OK. ++Lar: t/c 22:51, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

- @everyone, please see Commons:Administrators/Requests and votes/Yonidebest. @Yonidebest, Information on translation is available at Commons:Help page maintenance. pfctdayelise (说什么?) 13:18, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Do you only want an adminship for translating the interface? In that case I would support a temporary adminship. In case you want a permanent adminship, please elaborate more on why you want to be admin. Do you participate in deletion requests? Are you planning to help out the backlog? In any case, whether your adminship fails or passes, there are a lot of pages that need translation to Hebrew, such as Commons:Licensing, which can be done without the admin bit. -- Bryan (talk to me) 13:48, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Basicly, I need a temporary adminship. I dont think I have time to watch over the pics here as well as the pics on our local wikipedia. A lot of protected messages need changing and, as a response to EugeneZelenko, some of the messages aren't in MessagesHe.php cause they are unique to commons. In any case, I might help with backlogs if I get tired of politics of he.wiki.... Yonidebest 14:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I highly recommend to made translation in SVN. Such translations will be available for all MediaWiki installations including Wikimedia Foundation projects. Also Beta-Wiki is very helpful for such purposes. --EugeneZelenko 14:03, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yonidebest: rather than seek adminship, put the translations on the talk pages, and then list the pages on COM:AN and an administrator will transfer them over. Many other users do this for other languages. pfctdayelise (说什么?) 00:44, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have no time for games, especially in a project that needs extra editing time because it doesn't support rtl languages and thus needs extra design efforts. Instead of running forth and back in talk pages, I rather do the job on my own and be done with it. Yonidebest 03:55, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- I did that for 100's of translations, ar text (RTL). No problems what ever. I can't see a problem with that. --Tarawneh 20:45, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Pehaps. I on the other hand don't see why not to give a trusted sysop wikipedian the tools he needs to translate this site. Yonidebest Ω Talk 22:37, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

- I can't see the need for Adminship here. Translations can be done without it, and the user has explicitly not expressed an interest in any other admin tasks. --MichaelMaggs 22:33, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- If you would have read the rules on adminship, you would have known that you need at least 4 support votes. As such, a bureaucrat decided that your request for adminship failed. Let the first bureaucrat who passes by please archive this page. -- Bryan (talk to me) 16:09, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
