Consensual review[edit]

File:Norderney, Dünenlandschaft -- 2018 -- 0925.jpg[edit]

  • The stalk isn't sharp too. IMO too much to clone. Please feel free to decline the photograph if you think it's not good enough. XRay Thu, 03 May 2018 07:38:13 GMT

Support Good quality. Granada Wed, 02 May 2018 05:46:01 GMT
  •  Oppose This is not the work of a commoner. Ermell Wed, 02 May 2018 19:12:09 GMT
@Ermell: Hi, this is my photo and I am a Commons user. I upload my photos to Flickr and then transfer them to Commons (makes tagging easier). –IagoQnsi 02:09, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
    • Sorry my mistake. The photo is of course a QI.--Ermell 06:59, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
  •  Comment I made the same mistake further up - and it will probably happen again quite often. I think you should but your Commons username in "author", that way reviewers can see it.--Peulle 07:52, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
    • @Peulle: Yeah, you're probably right–I'll start changing the author to link to my user page instead of my Flickr if I'm nominating for QI (didn't do that from the get-go simply because flickr2commons doesn't let you customize the author field). –IagoQnsi 15:34, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

File:CINvLOU_2017-05-31_-_Corben_Bone,_Niall_McCabe_(34213037884)_(square).jpg[edit]

  • Nomination Corben Bone and Niall McCabe of rivals FC Cincinnati and Louisville City FC compete for the ball --IagoQnsi 03:58, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
  • Decline
  •  Oppose I'm very sorry, but I have to decline this. If this was shot at night under flood light I could easily tolerate the noise. But this was shot in daylight and therefore is a bit too noisy and low in detail. --Granada 05:46, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support Very good shot though a bit noisy. I have to promote. --Spurzem 08:26, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
  •  Oppose This picture comes from another one which was uploaded from FlickR, so this picture cannot be nominated here. --PJDespa 19:34, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
@PJDespa: Hi, this is my photo and I am a Commons user. I upload my photos to Flickr and then transfer them to Commons (makes tagging easier). –IagoQnsi 02:10, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
  •  Oppose I agree with Granada on this one; the face of the guy on the left in particular is not sharp enough.--Peulle 23:10, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

  •  Oppose the sunny 16 rule does not apply to sports photography Granada Tue, 01 May 2018 12:30:59 GMT
  •  Question @Granada, What is the sunny 16 rule ? --PJDespa 13:18, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
  •  CommentIn sports photography you should open the aperture to at least f/4 to blur out the background which otherwise can become very distractive as in this example. The sunny 16-rule is a general rule for taking pictures: if there's bright light, close the aperture to 16 and your'e done. In German this rule has a rhyme: "Sonne lacht - Blende acht" --Granada 13:29, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
  •  CommentThank you for the explanation. In this case, his lens (at 375mm) opens at maximun f5.6 and he chose f8, f4 was impossible for him. --PJDespa 13:43, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support - Good professional practices described by Granada aside, this photo is acceptable for QI, IMO. -- Ikan Kekek 16:54, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

  •  Oppose Oversaturated, probably (very slight) perspective overcorrection. --Smial 12:10, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
  • ✓ Done I agree about the saturation. I changed it now, but I don't agree about the perspective. Verticals of the church are perfect straight. Please take a look again. More opinions are also welcome. --Halavar 13:26, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
