English: Soldiers are used to turning to their battle buddies or leadership when they have a problem. But if a soldier is the victim of sexual assault, he or she may feel more comfortable seeking confidential help from a victim advocate who will help them seek medical care, counseling, and connect them with a lawyer through the Special Victims Counsel. The Arizona Army National Guard currently has 14 victim advocates trained and soldiers can turn to them for assistance regardless of their duty status at the time of an incident, or where it occurred. |
