English: Sgt. Hampton, of the 146th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, Charlie Company, calling in a Nine Line Medical Evacuation while conducting training on a Combat Lifesaver lane. The events conducted on this lane focus on training the basic first aid skills through classroom instruction, practical exercises, and performance evaluations. The training was conducted by 5th Armored Brigade on Camp McGregor, N.M. The 146th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, from Florida and commanded by Lt. Col. Daniel "Matt" Johnson, is one of only seven ESBs in the United States Army. They participated in this training and other high intensity training conducted by 5th AR Brigade to prepare for deployment to go over to Iraq. 5th Armored Brigade, First Army, Division West Soldiers are recognized as expert trainers at all levels of the Army. The training conducted is tough, repetitive, hands-on, realistic and theater-specific. It produces leaders and Soldiers who are confident, competent and disciplined in their skills, knowledge and abilities. Since 2003 they have trained over 70,000 National Guard and Reserve Soldiers deploying around the world in support of this Global War on Terrorism. |
