English: Heavy cruiser Furutaka off Nagasaki shortly after commisioning
Čeština: Těžký křižník Furutaka 5. dubna 1926 v Nagasaki. Fotografie zachycuje stav křižníku v jeho původní podobě pár dní po přijetí do služby: nízký přední komín, vyústění větrání přední kotelny na úrovni dolního můstku je ještě odkryté a rovněž z modifikované startovací plošiny typu Heinkel je instalována pouze její menší část na lafetaci č. 4 hlavní baterie. U.S. Naval Historical Center tuto situaci prezentuje na fotografii, která je horizontálně převrácená a která je chybně označena jako Photo #: NH 97694 Kako. Dlouhý kryt větrání můstku na dolní můstkové palubě, uspořádání vyústění torpédometů a tvar parovodních trubek na předním komíně ale jednoznačně identifikují pohled na levobok křižníku Furutaka - viz [1]
