English: Spc. Brandon Carr, right, native of Kinston, North Carolina, and postal specialist for the 18th Human Resources Company, 82nd Special Troops Battalion, 82nd Sustainment Brigade, gives his ‘stamp of approval’ on a package that Spc. Savannah Martinez, left, native of Corpus Christi, Texas, and ammunition specialist for the 101st Sustainment Brigade, is sending home to her family in the now fully operational post office at Roberts International Airport, Monrovia, Liberia, Dec. 22, 014. The post office at RIA is the first fully functional Army post office to open in Liberia, allowing Soldiers deployed to there as part of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance to buy flat rate boxes, apply postage and send their own care packages back home to their family and friends in the U.S. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
