DescriptionNCNG Soldiers 'Dash for Cash' around the world 151206-A-UU866-253.jpg |
English: U.S. Army Maj. Lee Pearson, a North Carolina National Guard officer deployed to Kosovo with the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team headquarters, speaks to a group of multinational Soldiers about the legacy of Capt. Christopher S. Cash, a fallen NCNG company commander from a previous 30th ABCT deployment, before the Reindeer Dash for Cash shadow run held Dec. 6, 2015, at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, in Cash’s honor. Pearson was one of several 30th ABCT Soldiers who organized Dash for Cash shadow runs across the globe in order to mirror the annual, official race in Greenville, N.C. Cash, an avid runner and East Carolina University alumnus, was killed in action in Iraq while serving as a company commander in the 30th ABCT’s 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment.
