English: From right to left, Spc. Joshua Peterson, Spc. Sam Liebel, and Spc. Randy Birchfield, pick up sandbags in the rain to place them onto a temporary ring-dike flood levee around a rural home west of West Fargo, N.D., which is in a farmyard that is surrounded by miles of flood water. The Soldiers are members of the 815th Engineer Company, Det. 2, based in Lisbon, N.D., and part of aNorth Dakota National Guard quick response force team that has been sent to the rural home by the Cass County tactical operations center. About 500 Guardsmen are currently conducting flood operations in North Dakota, with the vast majority in Cass County. |
