Deutsch: Im Jahr 1997[1] wurde dem damaligen, zum 26. Oktober 2003 aufgelösten, Amt Neuhausen/Spree durch den Minister des Innern des Landes Brandenburg die Führung seines Wappens genehmigt. Die Gemeindevertretung Neuhausen/Spree beschloss in Rechtsnachfolge die Fortführung des bisherigen Amtswappens, die der Minister des Innern des Landes Brandenburg am 16. November 2004 genehmigte.
Flaggenbeschreibung
„Die Flagge zeigt drei Querstreifen in den Farben Blau-Weiß-Rot, belegt mit dem den Mittelstreifen überdeckenden Gemeindewappen.“
Die Farben der Querstreifen entsprechen den Hauptfarben des Wappens und sollen Symbol für die Spreelage (blau) und die Zugehörigkeit zum Land Brandenburg (weiß und rot) sein.
English: granted 1997 to the former Amt Neuhausen/Spree, continued by the municipality of Neuhausen/Spree in legal succession, confirmed 16 November 2004.
