**Lower risk categories**
2001 Categories & Criteria (version 3.1)	Description	1994 Categories & Criteria (version 2.3)
	कम जोखिम (LC या LR/lc), न्यूनतम जोखिम. जोखिम वर्ग में शामिल करने के योग्य नहीं है. व्यापक और प्रचुर मात्रा में पाये जाने वाले जीव इस श्रेणी में शामिल किए गए हैं.
	संकट के निकट (NT या LR/nt), निकट भविष्य में संकटग्रस्त प्रजातियों की श्रेणी मे आने की संभावना है.
No longer a Red List category	संरक्षण पर निर्भर (LR/cd), the focus of a continuing taxon-specific or habitat-specific conservation program targeted towards the taxon in question, the cessation of which would result in the taxon qualifying for one of the threatened categories below within a period of five years.

	जंगल से विलुप्त(EW), known only to survive in cultivation, in captivity or as a naturalized population (or populations) well outside the past range.
	आँकड़ों की कमी (DD), inadequate information to make a direct, or indirect, assessment of its risk of extinction.
	मूल्यांकन नहीं किया गया (NE), not yet been evaluated against the criteria.
	शायद विलुप्त (PE), a category given by BirdLife International. A subcategory of CR.
	शायद जंगल से विलुप्त(PEW), A term used within the IUCN Red List. A subcategory of CR.
	विलुप्त (EX), there is no reasonable doubt that the last individual has died.
