The Optimist's Home Page
Welcome to my user pages. I'm an optimist on the run (formerly Tivedshambo), and I've been a Wikipedian on English Wikipedia since April 2006, where I'm now an administrator, and I've been editing on Commons since June 2007. I've uploaded over 200 photographs I've taken, plus several maps and diagrams. The photos may be viewed in my personal user category, and gallery. I also occasionally edit from my alternative account, Pek the Penguin. Comments in my talk page are always welcome, particularly if they're friendly!

The only language I speak fluently is English. I have a little knowledge of French, German and Welsh, but not enough in which to hold a conversation.

I use, or have used, the following cameras:-

Minolta X300 - an SLR bought in 1985, which served me well for many years. |

Olympus Mju II - a compact 35mm film camera, bought in 2002. One of several compact cameras I owned around that time, of varying quality. |

Sony Cybershot DSC-P12 - a 5 MegaPixel compact digital camera, bought in 2004. A superb digital camera. |

Sony A300 - a 10 MegaPixel digital SLR camera bought in 2009, which seems to be giving me some very good results. |

Sony Cybershot DSC-P10 - identical to the P12 but a different colour. I bought this second hand in 2010 when my P-12 finally started to play up. I use it when I don't want to carry my DSLR. |
