Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hi Vvnataraj, pplease do not categorize your uploads (an example of your recent activity):

Category:Himalaya +

Category:Mountains above 5000 meters +

Category:Uttarakhand +

Category:India

Please save time and capacity on commons by categorizing:

Category:Mountains of Uttarakhand and for example Category:5000+ mountains (to be created ;-))

Please use as far as possible the category of the regarding city/town/village or district (if there's no category), or, a localized better 'fitting' i.e. the 'most fitting"' category(ies), and, do not add - in addition - the categories of the state and country, too.

Snow patridge

The image uploaded by you, Snow patridge is shown as "Himalayan Monal" in article Tungnath. Are both birds same? Can you kindly verify? In the discription, both the names "Snow Partridge Lerwa lerwa, on the slopes around Tungnath" and "Himalayan Monal, Lophophorus impejanus , on the slopes around Tungnath" are given.
