English: The Achaeological site of Olympia is the main excavation site of the ancient precinct of note, including the stadium and the Temple of Zeus. The media for known ruins (rovine) are collected in distinct subcategories. Media for ruins that are not known yet do not have a subcategory. Media not identified yet do not have a subcategory. A small number of media are misidentified, and a small number mislabeled. The main ruins are identifiable by some prominent feature. The "crypt" is an archway in the passageway between the stadium and the building where the athletes were "concealed" before presentation. The palaestra is identified by rows of tall columns. The gymnasion has rows of column stubs. The Temple of Zeus has stairs up to a platform on which one column remains standing. The Temple of Hera has three columns. The workshop of Phidias has ornate masonry. The Villa of Nero is octagonal. The excavation and restoration, such as it is, is a work in progress. Partly arranged column sections, slabs, and panels are to be found over the entire site. Ruins may be marked off by string. Digging may be being conducted.
